About the chef
A private chef, and your own dining room
Harbor Table cooks bespoke dinners in clients' homes. Here is why we begin with your menu.
Why Harbor Table exists
A dinner that begins at your own table
Harbor Table is a private chef who cooks bespoke dinners in clients' homes, for people planning something intimate: an anniversary, a birthday, a dinner party of two to twelve.
Hiring a chef often starts badly. A website hands you a PDF, a form asks for a budget, and a week passes before anyone asks what you actually like to eat. We wanted to begin the other way around, with the food.
So the menu builder comes first. You choose courses, mark what you do and do not eat, and write a note about the evening. The chef reads it before any talk of dates, so every conversation is already about your dinner.
Cooking at home means no reservation, no noise, and no one waiting for your table. Your guests stay as long as they like, and the evening feels like yours.
How we like to work
- Plainspoken
- Menus are described in ordinary words. If a dish name needs explaining, we explain it.
- Welcoming
- You do not need to know the language of fine dining. Tell the chef what you enjoy and what you avoid.
- Careful with needs
- Dietary requirements and allergies are asked about before anything else is planned.
- Personal
- One chef reads your menu, replies to you, and cooks the dinner.
Your table, your evening
Meet the chef through your menu.
The best introduction is the dinner you want. Build it and send it over.
